Welcome to the Thirty Bench Blog. I am the Estate Manager for Thirty Bench Wine Makers and I have been working at the winery for over 17 years and I still continue to love it! I feel like I was almost born into this industry since I have been around wine making and tasting for many years. I was first introduced to wine and wine making at a young age when my father, Dr. Tom Muckle, experimented with it at home in our basement. I was fascinated with every step of his wine making process.
In 1980, friends and family came to help plant the Riesling vines which were purchased from Germany. The Riesling was the first vines planted on the property and the first Estate bottled wine. To this day, Thirty Bench has grown to be known for its Rieslings.
